Quickguide for users with direct access

This guide explains how applicants from UCPH who have direct access, i.e. who have a Bachelor's Degree that is directly connected to the Master's Programme, can create a new application for UCPH in the online application portal quickly and effectively.

Login to the application portal

  1. Find the link to the application portal on the relevant programme website.
  2. Click on the button labelled "Login" on the welcome page.
  3. Choose "University of Copenhagen" from the list of institutions, then enter your KUnet username and password. (The last part is skipped if you are already logged in to KUnet.)
Read more about how to login to the portal here.

Create an application

  1. Click on the tab "Create application". Choose "University of Copenhagen" as institution and "Master" as type.
  2. You can do a targeted search by typing a keyword into the "Degree/course name" field, then click "Search".
  3. Choose the programme to which you wish to apply, and check the checkbox for it. If necessary, choose a secondary subject. Then click "Proceed to create the application".
  4. Click "Proceed to create the application" again on the next page.
Note: If you used a direct link from a programme website, the relevant programme will be pre-selected for you in steps 1-3 above.
Read more about how to create a new application here.

Collect your data from the university database

  1. On the tab "Collection of data", click "Request information". The collection should take about 5-10 seconds to complete, and you can move on to the next tab while it collects if you wish. Once the collection is done, the tab will display a date and time and a status message will appear above on later tabs.
Note: The data collection needs to be able to connect to the university database to function. If a connection cannot be established, you can either save the application as a draft and return later, or you can manually upload documentation for your degree to the tab "Requirements and prerequisites".
Read more about data collection here.

Complete and submit application

  1. Click on the button "Next" to move from tab to tab.
  2. On the tab "Person", enter your phone number.
  3. If the programme to which you are applying has admission restrictions, you need to upload any required documentation even though you have direct access.
  4. On the tab "Requirements and prerequisites", check that your collected data is correctly registered. Further down on the page, answer that your degree is from a Danish institution.
  5. On the tab "Requirements and prerequisites", answer the question about credit transfer appropriately and upload documentation if necessary. Read more about credit transfer here.
  6. Click "Next" until you reach the tab "Send application".
Important! Click "Submit application". Only then has the application been submitted.
