Master's degree reform

A national reform of master's degree programmes at Danish universities will take effect from the 2028 graduate intake. Therefore, UCPH does not yet know which master's degree programmes you are guaranteed admission to after your bachelor's degree.

What does the master's reform mean for me?

  • As a student with a bachelor's degree from UCPH, you are guaranteed admission to one of the University’s master's degree programmes.
  • You can apply to other master's degree programmes than the programme to which you are guaranteed admission.

UCPH plans to maintain master's degree programmes that are a direct extension of a bachelor's degree and develop new attractive master's degree programmes.

From 2028 UCPH will offer master's programmes of 120 ECTS, 75 ECTS, and part-time master’s degree programmes for working professionals.

If you are admitted to a bachelor's programme in 2025, you will need to choose your master's degree programme in 2028.
At that time, you can either choose to continue with a master's programme that follows directly from your bachelor's degree or apply for one of UCPH’s other master's programmes.

We expect to be ready with our master's degree offering in 2026, allowing you plenty of time to explore the options before choosing your master's degree programme in 2028.
