Self-assessment forms

The self-assessment form is an overview of the academic admission requirements of the MSc programme you are applying for.

Read the guide to filling in the self-assessment form. Please note that there are individual self-assessment forms for the MSc programmes.

What courses do I include?

Include all courses you think are relevant to demonstrate that you fulfil the academic admission requirements listed to the left.

You can include courses and projects:

  • you have completed as part of your qualifying bachelor's degree
  • you expect to complete as part of your qualifying bachelor’s degree.

If you include courses/projects that are yet to be completed, please write no in the relevant column and include the date you expect to complete the study element.

Can I include courses that are not part of my bachelor’s degree?

If you have passed courses/projects before completing your qualifying bachelor's degree, a maximum of 30 ECTS of these can also be included, even though they are not part of your qualifying bachelor's degree programme.

This applies to courses/projects you have taken as single subjects and as part of another study programme. Please indicate supplementary courses by adding an asterisk (*) after the title.

You cannot include courses which you have passed after completing your bachelor’s degree.

Can I list the same course twice?

If you have a course that covers 2 specific requirements, e.g. the course Mathematics and Statistics of 15 ECTS, you are allowed to split the credits in 7.5 Linear Algebra and 7.5 Life insurance mathematics if it is very clear that this is what you have done and the course description clearly states that the ECTS was placed this way.

In addition, a course can be counted twice id is counts toward a general requirement of, e.g. 30 ECTS laboratory or 120 ECTS within Natural Science.

How do I convert credits to ECTS?

If your educational institution does not use the ECTS credit system, you must convert your institution's credits into ECTS.

Example: one full study year at UCPH is 60 ECTS. One study year at your university is 200 credits. Therefore, 1 ECTS corresponds to 3.33 credits (200/60).

Please include both your educational institution's credits and ECTS when filling out the form.
